I am a 25-year old bartender/server/part-time manager/dog dad living in Kansas City, Missouri. I’ve been working in restaurants since I was a teenager. In this time I’ve done everything from dishwashing to hosting giant corporate events and just about everything in between (Admittedly, I was kicked off the line the only time I tried to cook. I’m pretty much a liability in the kitchen.)

I love food, drinks and talking to people. That’s probably why I’ve stayed in the service industry for so long.  Like many of my colleagues and friends, I have a love-hate relationship with my work along with all the stress and joy it brings. I started this blog to vent my frustrations and talk about the great things the service industry can offer, as well as work on my writing.
