Jordan Kurtz (aka Fisticuffs) – “Would You” (Live Performance)

Ryan Stinson | May 10th, 2010 | No Comments »

Yeah, I know, it’s not hip-hop. So what? Jordan is a resident of Saskatoon, writer for The Bridge Citizen, and singer/songwriter that goes by the name Fisticuffs. The gang at Grounded TV got an exclusive, on the street performance in Vancouver and graciously shared it with the rest of the world.

Big Boi – Fo Yo Sorrows (ft. Too $hort & George Clinton) (Video)

Ryan Stinson | March 10th, 2010 | No Comments »

Big Boi dropped this a single months ago, but here’s the video. Fuck this is so funky and George Clinton is still a rainbow haired pimp! Word on the blogs is that Big Boi’s album, “Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty”, will drop March 23.

Mayer Hawthorne – I Wish It Would Rain (Video)

Ryan Stinson | March 2nd, 2010 | No Comments »

Mayer Hawthorne is the man (and not because he’s kinda my doppleganger minus the beard). He’s bringing old Detroit soul back to music, dope videos and all without sacrificing any integrity. If you’re not familiar with him I suggest you check out his album “A Strange Arrangement” or his profile on StonesThrow.com

Gorillaz ft. Mos Def & Bobby Womack – Stylo (Video)

Ryan Stinson | March 2nd, 2010 | 2 Comments »

The Gorillaz are back (and so is Bruce Willis)! Stylo is the first single from thier new album, “Plastic Beach”, which is in stores next Tuesday. The video seems a little Tarantino-esque, which is cool, but I don’t think the song really holds it’s weight against it. Judge for yourself.

Subtitle – Trunk Bomb

<a href="http://getcrevget.info/album/trunk-bomb" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/http://getcrevget.info/album/trunk-bomb');">intro, as per usual. by subtitle</a>

Subtitle just hit us up with his new digital album – “Trunk Bomb” – that ranges from topics like his hair style to the secret to being a successful entrepreneur (that is if his technique to success works for everyone).

Knowing that art costs money, Subtitle is asking you to pay ($10) for this digital album to help him release this composition physically. There has been much discussion about this over at UGSMag’s post, but, in the end, I think it’s worth it. See Subtitles rationale on his blog.
